November 13, 1985

Hope this newsletter finds that you have been blessed as we have in the past months.  We continue to get more excited as the time approaches for our departure. Leaving on the 20th of November only gives us a few days to make all the necessary arrangements.
Our trip north was a great addition to the necessary preparation to go to Kenya. We were able to visit with many of you, and raise more of the support necessary to keep the Lord's work going.  You will always be in our prayers even as we are separated by thousands of miles.
All of the needed monthly support has now been raised.  $1,000.00 is all the one time support that is still needed.  Our crate of household needs is on its way to Kenya at a fraction of the expected cost.  Fraley's Chapel, our sponsoring congregation, has been an enormous help with their physical, moral and spiritual support.  The Lord works to make His church prosper, if we work with Him.
Just a short reminder that all support would be greatly appreciated if mailed so that it will reach Fraley's Chapel by the first of each month.  This is necessary because of the delay in mailing overseas.  Once again we thank you for supporting
us while here in the states.  This made it possible to purchase many needed articles.
Last month included in the newsletter was the address that all support should be sent to.  I will enclose it once again for any who may have misplaced it.

Enclosed now is our personal address in Kenya.  This is not for support, but for any personal correspondence that you would like to send.

Stacy and I are looking forward to finally being able to get into the Lord's work in Kenya.  It will be a very pleasant change from raising support and planning for the future.  Continue to pray for us as we approach a totally different part of our efforts to serve the Lord among the Luo people of Kenya.
Our next newsletter may not be sent out for two or three months.  We will be involved with language learning, and not able to write while doing this.  Until our next letter we pray that the Lord will continue to bless you.
