Fellow Workers in Christ,
Hope
this finds that you are all well. Stacy
and I are doing fine. Have not had any
sicknesses that are common to Kenya.
For this we thank the Lord. A
lot has happened in .he last month. We
started language school in Nairobi on January 6th and will probably continue
until March 7th. After language school
we will return to Winyo to live another month with the Luo family to practice
speaking Luo. Our crate has arrived in
Kenya and soon we will have our household goods. The work on our house in Kisii is progressing well. Lawrence says they should be finished by the
end of February. Even if it takes longer we will not be ready to move in until
the first week of April.
Recently
Stacy and I went to a monthly missionary meeting in Eldoret, Kenya. This was a good trip for us in many
ways. We were able to participate in
Christian fellowship and to meet and talk
to many new and old
friends. Me thank God that our trip was
safe and fruitful.
Since
entering Kenya we have seen evidence of the Lord's body growing. I have knowledge of 8 baptisms, and know of
a fishing village where the gospel was preached recently that now has 25
faithful members worshipping every Sunday.
Stacy and I are anxious to
be an active part of the work
soon. Even now we have been provided
with the opportunity to share the Lord with our language instructor.
Near
the end of January we learned that Clearwater Church of Christ in Largo,
Florida has decided to join us in the Lord's work in Kenya. We are grateful for their decision
and thank the Lord
for their support. We have been in Kenya now for three months
and thank all of you for helping us this far.
Our first three month budget is included so you can see how your support
has been used. There have been a lot of one time expenses that were necessary
to get set up. In the future months we
will have a better idea of what things will be like.
Stacy
and I pray often for your efforts in America. We have received cards and letters from many of you and know you
are behind us in the Lord's work here.
Thank you for your spiritual support.
Without it things would be harder for us here.
In
Christian Love,
Barry
and Stacy Rosie
