Fellow Laborers in His Vineyard,

May grace, peace and love be showered down upon you from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  This month is a special month for us in many ways. By the time you receive this newsletter we will have been in Kenya, East Africa for one year.  As we look back over the time we have spent, we car. see many blessings that the Lord has provided us with.  At the top of the list of blessings are Gods' love, care and guidance for us.  Then would be all of you who have prayed for, and supported us this past year.

Through your desire to send the Word of God to every nation, you have made cur beginning with the Luo people possible.  For this we thank the Lord continually.  It is our prayer and desire that you continue to labor with us in the years to come, as we strive to do His will in Kenya.

Many of you have personally corresponded with us this past year.  For this we are forever grateful.  To you this may not seem very important, but to us it is.  All of your letters have helped us keep in touch with life, as we have known it in America.

For those who have not had an opportunity to write to us this past year, we would like to hear from you in the new year.  Even letters from entire congregations would be appreciated.  We would be interested in knowing of upcoming events for the year.  Such as:  singings, youth rallies, gospel meetings, workshops, lectureships, etc.  You have been able to think and pray about certain works we have been involved in over the past year, and we would like to do the same for events you are planning in service to God in the coming year.  Also, if as a congregation, you are planning on having a special gathering or service over the holidays we would appreciate and enjoy a cassette tape of your activities.  We would like to become closer to you both spiritually and physically, and think this will help us get to know you better.  If you have any other ideas that can bring us closer, we would appreciate hearing about them, both on a congregational basis and individually.

We are looking forward to the month of December with great anticipation.  It should be a great month for starting our new years work here.  We are holding a course called "Back to the Bible", from the 3rd to the 9th.  Also during this time a new book will be introduced called "Jesus", about the life and customs of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  At this point more people have signed up saying they want to come than at any other previous course.  Since this is an effort to reach the lost, please remember this in prayer before and during the course.

Along with the course in December, we will be going to the annual gathering of all the congregations in South Nyanza.  This is the only time during the year that the Christians get to come together for group fellowship.  This is also a good time to build them up spiritually.  Because of this, we ask that you remember this event also.  The dates are the 13th to the 15th.

We pray that the Lord has blessed you this past year as bountifully as He has blessed us.  Also, we hope you have many plans for the new year, and are looking forward to a year as exciting as ours is going to be in His service.  May the Lord bless you this coming year as you labor in His vineyard.

In Christian Service,
