Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I wonder how and what our
Luo brothers and sisters are doing right now. We are happy to be
visiting with you all just now, but we can't help feeling so far away from
the work of the Lord in South Nyanza. They need our daily prayers.
That is the very best thing all of us can do for them until we can return
to Kenya. Please keep up your prayers. Barry, Kit and I are
really missing Kenya. Pray for us too!
We have traveled safely
from Canada to Florida and over to Mississippi. On the 16th of this
month we head up to Tennessee, then, over to Arkansas and finally on to
Abilene, Texas. In Abilene, Barry and I will attend our first Mission
Seminar. We feel very blessed to have received $1,800 in scholarships
to enable us to study for the summer and to sharpen and expand our mission
skills.
In this newsletter we want
to ask you to send up some very special prayers for our co-workers, the
Lawrence Barr family. In January of this year they made the very
difficult decision to return to the States permanently. And now they
are in the midst of preparing to leave Kenya where they have worked for
the last 15 years. We will miss them.
When Barry and I return to Kenya in September we will be working alone
among one million people. If you are reading this newsletter, and
are interested in joining us on the field, or have any ideas about helping
the work in another way, please contact Jim Brown at Fraley's Chapel.
He can forward your message on to us.
So. . . we have lots of
prayer requests this month:
1) Pray for the Luo
Christians.
2) Pray for the Barr
family as they prepare to return
to the States, and
3) Pray for the Lord
to send more workers to harvest among
the Luo people.
Thank you!
If we haven't seen you yet,
we are looking forward to seeing you soon.
For Jesus Christ,
Barry, Stacy and Kit Rosie
