Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I pray that this newsletter finds that you are well in our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ.  We have had a full month in many ways, both physically
and spiritually.  This last week we put the High family on the plane in
Nairobi for their return to the states.  They were with us for a month, and
were able to see much of the work as it presently is in Luo land.  All
indications are that they will try to raise the necessary support to join us
hopefully in September or October of this year.  Please pray for their efforts
in raising support.  We have had to raise support in the same way they will be
raising theirs.  Raising support is not an easy thing to do.  However, when
all is done, and one can see the people who are willing to give to further the
Lords work, it gives you a good feeling to know that there are people like you
who care.  Also, please remember the Roger Moon family who are also trying to
raise support at this time.
As many of you already know, Stacys' mother was found to have an aneurysm
while we were in Nairobi picking up the High family.  As things progressively
became worse Stacy left for America (with Kit) to be with her mother and
family.  Stacy arrived in Pittsburgh, Pa. Saturday evening the 14 of April and
her mother passed away on Saturday the 21st of April, one week later.  Stacy
has been in America for two weeks now, and will be returning to Kenya on
Saturday the 12th of May.  Please continue to remember Stacy in your prayers
as her family is Catholic, and Stacy has taken the death of her mother very
hard.
This last week while in Nairobi seeing the High family off, I had an
appointment to see the doctor about my condition once again.  All things are
going well so far  and for this we thank God.  I will not need to see the
doctor again until the beginning of November.  However, I am to stay on daily
medication for at least one year.  I am able to drive now, only not alone.
thank you for your letters of concern and prayers on my behalf.
We pray the Lord will watch over you daily, helping you in your lives
both physically and spiritually, as He has in ours.  We strive to continually
show Him to the Luo people of South Nyanza.  Please pray to the Lord on our
behalf for strength and wisdom in all the daily decisions that need to be
made.  For we know that it is through God that we have our being.

In Christ,

Barry J. Rosie
