Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,

We trust this letter finds that you are doing well.  We remember you
daily as we labor for Christ in His kingdom.  Without you this would not be
possible.
The work is changing in many ways, since there are now three families in
South Nyanza.  Much time has been set aside for talking about the future of
the work.  We all agree that leadership training is of the utmost importance.
We have discussed different ways that this should be accomplished, and have
decided on a one year schedule which will include visiting all of the churches
in South Nyanza in the new year.  In these visits we will try to choose some
worthy brothers that we can start to teach in the area of leadership, while
teaching the local people that are interested a course called "Back to the
Bible".  Also, there is a meeting planned for January (of the new year) to
call all the churches together in the hopes of getting their input into our
scheduling.
The church growth study is coming along.  We have seen 15 of the 48
churches so far.  Along with the 12 hour days out in South Nyanza, I have
spent well over 48 hours sitting in front of the computer installing all of
the new data.  Just trying to keep up on a daily basis with new information is
a major task in itself.  There are a lot of new additions as well as
reversions to be noted.  It is still to early to tell what the final outcome
will be, however, I can report that out of the 15 churches that we have
completed, there are 179 baptisms to be reported during the last two years.
We would like to thank the Hermitage Road congregation in Richmond,
Virginia for sending Malcolm Hart and Pat Langsten to be with the South Nyanza
team (the High's, Moon's and Rosie's), for a team building counseling
retreat.  Both of these men are deacons at the Hermitage Road congregation.
Pat Langsten is the assistant minister, and Malcolm Hart has a private
business in Psychology.  All three missionary families were involved.  Each
adult member of the team was required to take various tests in advance, which
were used in our counseling sessions.  During our week together much time was
spent in group related exercises which were used to increase our ability to
work together, and understand each other better as a team.  We pray that the
Lord can "bind us together" as we strive to serve Him in South Nyanza.
Continue to pray for us as we strive to serve the Lord to the best of our
abilities.  We pray for you often, and thank the Lord for your commitment to
the Luo people of South Nyanza.  May the Lord bless you richly as we grow
together in His kingdom.

In Christ,
