To our Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

May mercy and peace be showered down upon you from our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ.  We trust that you are all well.  We
are just about half way through our time in America, even though
it does not seem possible.  We thank those of you who have put us
up during our many travels along the way up till now.  You have
been a blessing and comfort to us.  We ask that the Lord can
strengthen and keep you well as you labor in His Kingdom.
Our travels have gone well and Lord willing we will be able
to return to Kenya as planned.  Please pray a special prayer for
us so that needed support will be raised, and that all of our
remaining journeys may be safe.
We have visited 16 different congregations so far, being well
received at all of them.  It seems that there is a greater aware-
ness of missions in America now, than there was in 1988 when we
were home for furlough.  I am sure much of this has to do with
the dissolving of the communistic block and the opening of Europe
for "religion".  This is good, and the church as a whole needs to
strive toward evangelism in these areas, as well as others while
the opportunity still exists.
Many of you have already seen our slide presentation, and
heard about our efforts to serve Christ while bringing souls to
Him in South Nyanza.  The church has grown well (55.5%) in the last
three years.  We pray that the Lord will continue to bless our
efforts as we endeavor to teach leaders to "shepherd the flock".
We are going to be busy with leadership courses and writing of Luo
materials in the next four years, which we trust will help the
church to continue strong when we finally leave South Nyanza for
a new field that is "ripe unto harvest".
We ask for your prayers, that God will guide us in the next
four years, as we prepare to close out the Luo work, and try to
choose a new area to enter when this present work is completed.
We are looking for an area that is receptive, and not already
flooded by various denominational teachings.  Many of these areas
are those effected by war and hunger that has been so prevalent in
the recent past.
We thank you for supporting us, both spiritually and physically.
Without your concern and prayers the Lord's work would not be
possible.  Therefore, we say thank you many times over, and look
forward to many more years of service in His Kingdom.

A Servant,
