Dear Family in Christ,
A Report on the 1996 Luo Kiche (Key-chay)
This years South Nyanza meeting was hosted by the Nyarach congregation. Twenty churches were in attendance and the largest number of people counted was over 250. The theme for the meeting that started August 16 and ended August 19 was, "The Christian Family", and dealt a great deal with the family of Christ in an African context. Classes were held for the adults, youth (11 years to pre marriage), and younger children. Five congregations brought their bible classes to recite bible verses, enact bible stories and skits and sing for the adults. The meeting was a huge success, with one congregation renting a public transportation vehicle and bringing over 40 participants. During the meeting 10 souls were added into the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We praise God for the unity that was shown in preparation for, and during this celebration of fellowship and thanksgiving for the word of God.

We will travel back to Washington DC and then back to Kenya just after the first of the new year. It's a full schedule and will be especially difficult with two small children in our old Honda Civic clunker. We need your prayers for safety and for wisdom in reporting His work to our brethren in our homeland.
